About

Here’s where you’ll learn about this site, and my bona fides. Read on!

What is the intention of this site?

After spending years in the recruiting and staffing industry, I wanted to provide some honest, and free advice. Much of the information about this industry is hidden from non-insiders.

There is a lot of misinformation about recruiting, recruiters, and the entire job market that I wanted to set out to provide easy to understand, factual info.

The majority of what you read online is promotional content from Staffing firms, negative experiences from disgruntled people on Yelp, or just plain speculation.

So, I figured it would be a way to give back and let anyone who was interested in the topic learn for themselves. For free! –That’s very uncommon in an industry built around profit margins and semi-secrecy.

I chose to answer the questions that friends, family, and non-industry acquaintances would always ask me. They seem like obvious things to anyone who has worked in recruiting, but for the average person they might not be obvious.

My Bona Fides

So, why listen to what I say on these topics?

Because I have spent close to two decades in the field. After graduating with a Economics degree (UPenn) and before starting Law School, I took a small sidetrack into sales and marketing. That small sidetrack lasted up until present!

During my time in staffing I have worked as a:

  • Account Executive- Medical, FinTech, Financials, Public Relations, Legal Recruiting
  • Executive Recruiter: All Niches: Primarily Finance, P.R., Marketing, and Banking
  • Account Manager: Medical, Pharm, Public Relations, and Defense

I have also:

Co-Founded a staffing firm and acquired Series A and B funding in excess of several million. This firm was later sold to a major player for 10x within two years.

As well as:

  • Successfully consulted with Fortune 500 firms on:
    • Employee Retention
    • Privacy Initiatives
    • Best Practices
    • A.I. Integration

What This Site Is Not About

This site is not designed to sell you a service. I’m not in the business of suggesting you choose to use a particular career service, career counseling service, or any other service for that manner.

I enjoy providing this info for free, and I think it should be for free. There are too many people who are kept in the dark about these issues, and too many opportunistic people trying to charge for it. So my goal was to just cut through the noise and provide it for anyone looking.

Enjoy!
